Bombay High Court Clerk Exam Pattern

 The selection process for the post of Clerk at Bombay High Court has three phases –

  1. Written Test
  2. Typing Test
  3. Viva Voice

Written Test 

  • Duration of the written test is one hour.
  • The total number of questions in this test are: 90 Questions.
  • The total marks given for the test are: 90 Marks.
  • The questions will be of objective-type (MCQs).

  • Only those who get the minimum passing marks in the screening test (written test) will go forward for the typing test and viva voice.
  1. Typing Test
  • The duration of the typing test will be: 10 Minutes.
  • The total marks for the typing test will be: 20 Marks.
  • The typing test will be taken on a computer. The language will be simple and the part to be written will be of about 400 words.

After clearing the typing test, the candidates will be called for the Viva Voice.

  1. Viva Voice will be of the duration of 10 Minutes and will be of 20 Marks.

The candidates are requested to carry all the necessary documents mentioned in the instructions given on the official website during the interview.

Where no bench mark has been set – the minimum marks will be 35% for unreserved categories and 40% for SC / ST category candidates.

Bombay High Court Exam Eligibility Criteria –

 Educational Qualification:

  • Candidate should have at least passed S.S.C Board examination. But, the preference will be given to Graduates and Law Graduates from any University recognized by the Government of India.
  • The candidate must have passed a Government Commercial Certificate Examination OR an exam conducted by the Government Board OR I.T.I. for English Typing with a speed of 40 words per minute in English and 30 words per minute in Marathi.
  • The candidate must have a computer knowledge certificate from any of the given institutes –

  4. d)  MS­CIT
  5. e)  Vocational Course – State Government
  6. f)  Vocational Course – Central Government
  7. g)  ITI – Central Government
  8. h)  ITI – State Government
  9. i)  Technical Board.
  • Candidate should not have total number of living children more than 02 due to the children born after 28.03.2006.
