Delhi Judicial Services Exam Pattern
The Delhi Judicial Services Exam’s selection process will have the following stages –
- Preliminary Written Examination
- Main Written Examination
- Viva Voice
Preliminary Written Examination –
- The exam will contain Objective-Type Questions (MCQs).
- The total number of questions in the exam will be: 200 Questions.
- The exam will be of 200 Marks.

- Note:Minimum qualifying marks will be 60% for General and 55% for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Physically Handicapped (Blind/Low Vision) /Orthopedically handicapped/hearing impaired).

Note: Qualifying marks
- For General Candidates – 40% marks in each written paper and 50% marks in the aggregate.
- For Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Physically Handicapped (Blind/Low Vision) /Orthopedically handicapped/ Hearing Impaired) – 35% in each written paper and 45% in the aggregate.
- Viva Voice –
- This will carry 150 Marks. Only candidates who qualify the earlier papers and pass with the percentage given under qualifying marks will be called for Viva Voice.
- Candidates from the General Category must score a minimum of 50% Marks in Viva Voice to be considered for appointment to service.
- Candidates from Reserved Categories (SC / ST / Physically Handicapped (Blind / Low Vision) / Orthopedically Handicapped / Hearing Impaired) must score a minimum of 45% marks in Viva Voice to be considered for appointment to service.
- The Marks from the Viva Voice and Main Examination will be added and the candidate’s position will be dependent on the aggregate of both.

How to apply?
Candidates may only apply through the online application given on the official website: http://www.delhihighcourt.nic.in. Forms through any other mode will not be accepted.
Application Fees for various categories –
- For General Candidates – 1000/-
- For SC / ST / Physically Handicapped (Blind / Low vision but mobility not restricted) / Orthopedically Handicapped (OA – one arm affected (Right or left), OL – one leg affected (right or left), BL – both legs affected but not arm) / Hearing Impaired candidates – 200/-
The fees must be paid through a Debit Card or Internet Banking. The application fees is non-refundable.

Eligibility Criteria –
- A candidate shall be eligible to appear in the examination if he I she is (a) a citizen of India; (b) a person practising as an Advocate in India or a person qualified to be admitted as an Advocate under the Advocates Act, 1961;
Age Limit –
- not more than 32 years of age
Upper Age Relaxation –
- SC / ST – 5 years
- Ex – Servicemen – 5 years, including Emergency Commissioned Officers and Short Service Commissioned Officers who have done at least 5 years of military service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within 6 months) otherwise then by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency, or on account of physical disability attributable to military service or on invalidment.
- PWD (General) – 10 years.
- PWD (SC / ST) – 15 Years
