About Railway Recruitment Board, Mumbai

RRB Mumbai comes under one of zones of INDIAN RAILWAYS which is Central Railway. Its headquarters is in Mumbai at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus. It has the distinction of operating first passenger railway line in India, which opened from Mumbai to Thane on 16 April 1853. The formation of railways zones was performed on 5 November 1951 by grouping several government owned railways, which included the Great Indian Peninsula Railway; the Scindia State Railway, Wardha Coal State Railway and the Dholpur Railways.

The Central Railway zone formerly included large parts of the Indian states of Madhya Pradesh and part of Southern Uttar Pradesh, which made it the largest railway zone in India in terms of area, track mileage and staff too. These areas further became the new West Central Railway zone in April 2003.

RRB Mumbai Exam Pattern 

First Stage of RRB Mumbai selection process is Written Exam which has questions based on the following subjects:-

(i) Arithmetical Aptitude

(ii) General Responsiveness

(iii) General English

(iv) Logical and Analytical Reasoning

RRB Mumbai Exam Selection Procedure

The first stage in the RRB Mumbai recruitment procedure is the written test. All aspirants have to appear for this. The next stage of selection procedure will be Skill Test. After the RRB written test, there will be Aptitude Test/Skill Test/Vision Test, etc depending upon the position applied. Only qualifying candidates of RRB Mumbai written test will be called for the skill tests.

Further, Interview/Document Verification will take place. After this, candidates selected in above process will have to pass the Medical Fitness Test.
